Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

legal fees

Attorney fees were awarded to my husband to pay and the two attorneys were told to work out the fees and if they could not, then to see him back in court. They could not agree so my attorney submitted a bill and the judge allowed a certain part of it. Can the my attorney ethically turn around and charge me for the remainder?

Re: legal fees

Your attorney can charge you the difference between the court awarded amount and the total amount. The court may award anything between zero and the full amount due; the amount your attorney is due has little to nothing to do with the amount awarded by the judge.
