Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

live-in's rights

My ex has custody of our child. Can his live-in use ''mrs.'' title and sign school's permission to travel form? She is also forging my ex's signature on the same. Is this legal? Court order states that a third party may not hinder communication with the ex nor with child but she bounces back my email to them, gets on the phone while my child and i are speaking to say for me not to call the home line.

Re: live-in's rights

There is nothing to stop the live-in from using "Mrs." In fact, holding oneself out as married, with his permission, may help provide her with support for being constructively married to him. As for forging someone else's name, that can be a problem, and may give you some support to challenge her/his actions. Regarding hindering communication, again, your emails and documented times this occurs may help you should you decide to take action. The action you might consider is a motion to modify custody and decree, and perhaps also child support.
