Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma
I have been going through the nightmare of a divorce process that has lasted over a year. There does not appear to be any checks and balances or oversite in order to expedite this painful process. My wife and her attorney continue to disregard agreements but I have held liable to abide by them. I cannot begin to tell you how frustrated I am that the legal process can be taken advantage of by my wifes attorney and there is no accountability. The money I have spent on attorney's fees and paying an exorbitant debt my wife left me has almost drove me to bankruptsey. I simply do not understand how attorneys can get away with such things.

I am not sure I am seeing a question here. I might suggest having a talk with your attorney and explaining to him/her how frustrated you have become. I think it is only fair to give your attorney an opportunity to explain what going on. Many time, there are things happening in the legal proces that make no sense to the client but can be explained by the attorney. If you are not satisfied with your attorney you always have the right to retain new counsel.
