Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

I have a paper from a woman that grants me guardianship over her daughter. It is signed by both of us and it's notorized. What legal power does that paper have?

legally the paper has zero legal authority. You will need to file for and obtain an Order Granting Guardianship. Sorry I know that's not what you wanted to hear but in my practice I have seen several people with a notarized agreement and then the natural parent shows up with the police and takes the child. My question is where is the father? He may have a legal right to the child if the mother needs a guardianship. Good Luck, Bob Adcox
