paternity

In a scenerio where a one night stand leads to pregnancy and the woman wants the baby even though the man does not. is there any action that can be taken to relieve himself of legal obligations (i.e. financial responsibilities)?

If paternity can be shown, the man can be held to have responsiblity (eg, financial support).
