Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma
Power of Attorney
My Mother-in-law is currently in a coma. She will pass away soon. Her son,(my husband) needs to get a power of attorney order so that he can change her benificiary from his elderly grandmother to himself so that he can pay for the funeral. Her policies equal up to $3500, and we have no other way of paying the expenses. She has a common law husband who would not contest this. Also, my husband must make the medical decisions regarding her care. DNR issues, etc. Please help with information quickly. We are in TX, but the family lives in Oklahoma.

Re: Power of Attorney
You need a guardianship, not a POA. See an Attorney where Mom is and get the ball rolling!!!!!
