Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

Recently, My husband's exwife (who has full custody of their six-year-old son) has given full custody over to us for reasons I do not want to openly discuss here. We know we need to submit a motion to modify the original divorce decree... but can we do this without an attorney? and how do we do this? She states she will sign it and there will not be any problems .. (we know this because of what we have recently found out about her and her live-in boyfriend). What do we do? We are on limited income and already have custody of 4 other children... help?

You are not "required" to have an attorney represent you. However, when dealing with custody issues I strongly recommend that you be represented. Perhaps you can qualify for free legal services through Legal Aid. Call your local county bar association and ask them for the number of the local Legal Aid office.
