Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

sealed records

If I was adopted by my stepfather and the courts claimed to have sealed my records because of a violent biological father then how would I get a copy of the court records proving I was adopted? Would the records still be sealed even though I'm over 18? And if so how would I get a copy if the records are still sealed??

Re: sealed records

You file an AOC-290 petition with the court where the adoption occurred. You can get this form from the court clerk or at http://courts.ky.gov/forms/default.htm
