Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

Visitation

My daughter is 13yrs. old. Her dad very rarley sees her anymore. He does have visitation rights. I have tried to get her to call her dad, and ask when he wants her and so forth. She refuses. She doesn't want anything to do with him. If he calls and wants to see her, do I have to make her go with him?

Re: Visitation

From a practical standpoint, it is difficult to make a 13 year old go to see her father. Within the last few years, a statute was added to Oklahoma's family law code that give children 12 and older a strong say in custody and visitation matters. If you went back into court, she could explain why she does not want to see her father. Maybe counseling, however, would be more productive.
