Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

Visitation

My story is long but when my wife left me she left Oklahoma with my children to be with her new husband in another state. Since she has left I have been told that she is intending to try everything she can to take my boys away from me so that I can never see or hear from them again, no matter what she has to do or say so that her husband can adopt them. She seldom answers the phone when it is time for me to talk to them, and has denied my

September visitation and is now denying my November visitation as well. I have not seen

my two boys since I took them back in August. I can explain my financial situation if needed. But in the meantime, who will help me to retain my

visitation? I really need your help to get my

visitation back and to help end her goal of shaking me loose from these two children, as

I have no money left for legal help. If you can put me in contact with a lawyer who is licensed in Oklahoma who would be willing to help for no charge it would be a blessing. I feel that because of my financial situation I am left with no choice but to sign away my rights and let her new husband adopt them as she wishes. She knows my financial situation and knows there is nothing I can do about it.

Re: Visitation

If you ex-spouse lives in the Tulsa or Oklahoma City area, you should contact the local bar association to find out if a low income attorney could take your case on a significantly reduced fee. In addition, you can file documents pro se to enforce visitation. You would want to contact the court clerk to see if filing fees can be waived (you may need to fill out a pauper's affidavit). You need an attorney that practices in the area close to where your ex lives or the county where the decree was entered.
