Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

Three years ago me and my ex filed married jointly bc we were told we were common law married and that we were allowed to file married. So now we havent been together for two and half years do we have to get a divorce?

Once a couple is married, whether as a result of a legal/religious ceremony or common law, they remained married until divorced or one of them dies. If you were common law married then you will need to obtain a divorce to be restored to single status.
