Family Medical Leave Act
I am using FMLA intermitently to take my pregnant teenage daughter to the doctor, my work is making me use my vacation time them sick leave before any unpaid leave. Does this mean that I cannot take a vacation day if I have vacation available?

Your employer can require you use up your Paid Time Off ("PTO"; vacation and sick time) before using FMLA time. If you use up your accrued PTO and want to take a vacation day, you won't have it if you've used all your PTO.
