Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Oklahoma
my 5 year son was playing next door with their 5 year old son and throwing sticks at the window when one of the sticks broke a window. We do not know which kid threw the stick that broke the window. The parents are demanding we pay half to replace the window. Is that legal?

Yes. If, in fact, both children were active participants in the same activity [throwing sticks] and if the replacement costs invoiced and reasonable. Did they provide a cost estimate or invoice? If the answer that question is "No" this estimate or invoice should be provided you by you and/or your neighbor prior to accepting or acknowledging any liability for the damages.
