Breach of contract
I signed a quote form from a roofer to repair the roof on my rent house. I found out that my renter is a roofer and gave him the job of repairing the roof. I called the first roofer within 10 days of signing the contract to nullify the contract. Am I in "breach of contract" for not allowing the first roofer to repair my roof?

If it was a "home solicitation sale" you have 3 business days to mail your notice of cancelation. The 3 days begins to run from the time you were given notice of your right to cancel, so if you were not given notice of your right to cancel, then your 3 days hasn't begun to run yet.
If it wasn't a home solicitation sale, then the terms of the contract will apply. If the contract doesn't include a right of termination, then you will have to resort to general contract principles for a defense to the roofer's collection action. You should probably discuss this with your attorney as soon as possible.
