Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Oklahoma
There is a case in the state of Oklahoma. The two apposing attorneys filed for joint continuance of a pretrial conference hearing. The judge, without informing either attorney, struck not only the pretrial but also the trial date and set it for another date. The judge marked through what was asked for on the signed continuance and hand wrote over it, as if the signatures of the attorneys were in agreement with is decisions. Is that forgery? Is it legal for him to do?
