civil (discrimination)

my car insurance was cancelled after the insurance company dicovered that i was a felon. the cancelation stated i failed to submitt that information. their application never asked nor did the agent ask for anything other than dui convictions. no priors at the time of aquiring the policy. is that a legitamate suite for discrimination.

If this was a stipulation that was communicated up front, no, you cannot redress or remedy the situation. It it was not stipulated in writing prior to canceling the policy and they determined this after-the-factand without cause.

And, this requirement was not specifically written in the terms of the policy, you can pursue this issue, but I recommend that you demand a written explanation from them before taken legal action.
