Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Oklahoma

Civil Judgment

Two civil judgments were awarded by default that had me as a co-defendant. I was not served personally and they stated that I was served per my ex-husband (divorced 1 and 2 yrs. before these matter)s. How can I dispute this?

Re: Civil Judgment

If you want to dispute valid service, you should hire an attorney immediately to file a motion to vacate the default judgment. If, however, the lender will ultimately receive a judgment against you for the debt because you are a co-obligor on the debt, it might be better to see if they will release you if you will pay one-half of the debt. Then you can collect against your ex if he was supposed to have paid the debt assuming he did not file bankruptcy.
