My ex girlfriend owes me $250 but in 8 months has failed to pay me. I have furnature that was given to her in my living room. Am I within my rights to hold on to it or sell it if she doesn't pay?

Is she aware that you have her furniture? If yes, you can hold it if you have notified her [by letter]of your intentions to hold or sell the furniture as repayment for amount owed.
