Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Oklahoma

In January of this year I was arrested in Oklahoma for a public intoxication. I was bonded out and did miss my court date as I had no choice but to leave the state and return to Texas. I've been contacted by the bond company for the $750 that I owe them. They are threatening to submit it as a "felony bond jumping charge" if I don't pay. I have every intention of paying this amount as soon as I can. My question is, can a misdemeanor be submitted as a felony in this manner?
