Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Oklahoma

Nedd a lawyer for Civil lawsuit - Unemployed and don't qualify for Legal Aid

I have been served a Summons and Petition in a Civil lawsuit, which I answered Pro Se as not to lose by default. I am not a lawyer, I am at home caring for my mother who has terminal cancer and I am her 24 hour a day caregiver with the help of Hospice. I am unemployed and cannot afford to hire an attorney at full cost and do not qualify for Legal Aid. I am awaiting a hearing date from the Court and cannot defend myself. Will someone please help me find an attorney willing to help?

If you have an affiliation with an Indian tribe you might try contacting Oklahoma Indian Legal Services. As your post did not disclose what type of civil suit you are seeking help in, it will be difficult for any attorney to evaluate your plea for help. Have you considered bankruptcy. Do you stand to inherit anything.
