change of beneficiary after death

Can you change the beneficiary of an insurance policy after the funeral home has sent in all the paper work anddeath certificate of that person?

Re: change of beneficiary after death

Generally, if the death proceeds have been assigned to the funeral home and the assignment has been received and recorded by the insurance company, the insurnace company should not honor another change of beneficiary unless it is signed by the funeral home.
