Legal Question in Employment Law in Oklahoma

No Compete Clause

I am a physical therapist assistant. I work in a few rural school districts. The schools are happy with the services I provide but they are unhappy with the company that I work for. When looking at the contract between them, the school discovered that there was a 2 year no compete clause included. They want me to continue services independently, but we see no way to get around the clause at least for 2 years. Can you giveus some insight? It will definitely create a hardship for these school as no one wants to drive to them without requiring more money.

Re: No Compete Clause

Couldn't give an opinion without reviewing the written agreement. SUch agreements are not favored in the law and may be sometimes successfully challenged.
