False Convictions in CNA Work
I was currently laid off from a workplace that were making false accusations that I was abusing residents. What is required to counter-sue this company for something that i had no hearing on or was even notified of?

Re: False Convictions in CNA Work
Oklahoma is an at-will employement state, meaning you can be terminated at any time for any reason or for no reason; but, if you were terminated for a reason against public policy (eg, race, religion, gender, age) then you may have a claim. If you were terminated in violation of the employer's policy of dealing with employees, you may also have a claim. The detailed, accurate facts of the situation are key to answering you question; generally, however, an employer can terminate an employee. If they've made wrongful accusations and you're ability to work has been harmed, you may have a claim for defamation.
