Legal Question in Employment Law in Oklahoma
tuition reimbursement and termination
The company offers tuition reimbursement but it clearly states employee must be employed for 6 months after receiving reimbursement or he/she is responsible for paying back the company. Recently an employee has been terminated and had just received $1500 for tuition reimbursement. Can the company keep his last two paychecks to offset the loan of his college imbursement?

Re: tuition reimbursement and termination
You need to contact your company attorney to answer that question. It depends on the contract for tuition reimbursement among other things. Withholding wages is tricky business.
