Legal Question in Employment Law in Oklahoma
I work in sales that is hourly with commission. We have set in place weekly goals and in turn recieve bonuses for making these goals each week. It can range from $50-$150. Each employee here has been waiting for up to 4 months for a "bonus check" from meeting these goals. Also each employee is waiting on more than one bonus check resulting in a minimum of at least $200. What is the time frame a company has to pay a bonus that has been set by and agreed on in that company?

Typically, it should be issued at the end of the month that the commission was earned otherwise these employment or commission terms should be stipulated in your employment agreement. We would recommend that you request a copy of your mployment eagreement. If no bonus was mentioned, they are not required to honor it and it would be difficult to pursue a legal remedy.
If you fill that you are not being compensated legally or fairly you can sue or file a complaint the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission. Either way we recommend that you do so in a class action suit because the employee numbers can serve as evidence that the bonus commission was explicitly expressed at the time you and the others were employed.
