Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Oklahoma
Help, I think I've been cheated.
Please I don't know what to do. Me and my girlfriend moved into an apt about 5 months ago. Before we moved in, we were told that there was a low crime rate and that there was a security gate and roaming security guards. The first week that we moved in I was shot at. Since then we have been robbed and my motorcycle was stolen. The apt refused to help in any way. Also we were promised a washer and dryer, later we were informed that it was a 35 dollar charge each month for the unit. I was also told that we could have a sattilite dish, (this was important to me seeing as to the fact that I work for Dish Network.) Yesterday I was told that in order to get a dish we had to pay a 150.00 deposite and purchase renters insurance. At this point I not only want to move out but want to know if there are any laws that may help me in stopping this apt from doing this to anyone else as I know for a fact that I am not the only one they have done this to. Also is there any kind of compinsation I might qualify for to try and pay off the motorcycle that was stolen?

Need to read your lease to advise. You may be able to cqancel lease for FRAUD or MISREPRESENTATION.
