Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Oklahoma

Not disclosing full terms of a lease

I recently found out that in the garage apartment where I live, there is only one hot water heater for two units. My electric bills had been way too high and upon investigation, I found that I have been supplying my neighbor with ''free'' hot water. No where in my lease does it state that I will be supplying the neighbor with ''free'' hot water, nor was I ever told before I signed the lease and moved in. Would this make my lease invalid due to the fact this was not disclosed to me?

Re: Not disclosing full terms of a lease

Anything that is not disclosed up front and not included in the lease agreement makes the lease invalid, particularly, if it causes a hardship for you as a tenant. I recommend that you read the Oklahoma Landlord Tenant Act and any other Oklahoma statutes regrading this issue. In the meantime, you concerns are actionable. I hope this helps.
