Required notice from tenant for return of security deposit
I have a tenant that gave notice June 7 that they would be terminating tenancy June 30. Our contract states 30 days' written notice must be given to terminate the tenancy. Since this is not a full 30 days' notice is the landlord required to return the security deposit? Also, the carpet has been stained, an old stove will need hauled off, and someone will need to be hired to mow the lawn.

Don't know the OK law on that but suspect it is similar to other states that the notice is good as of the last day of the month in which given.
