Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Oklahoma

My son's roommate moved out and her name remains on the lease. She is refusing to help pay for rent and/or utilities.He is having trouble paying rent and utilities by himself.

She told him that she is going to contact the landlord and have her name removed from the lease.

1. Can she have her name removed from the lease? ( The lease isn't up until April 25, 2012)

2. What recourse do he have to get her to pay something toward the rent and utilities?

No. She cannot break the lease agreement and it is recommended that you son take her to court for unpaid rent and utilities while she is still legally obligated to this lease agreement.
