Im thinking of geting a roomate do i have to notify my landlord and why?

Yes. If you are sharing expenses and if roomate has full freedom and access to the dwelling. He or she should also be included on the lease and it is recommended to avoid liability under the lease agreement. The landlord should also be informed for your protection in accordance with the Oklahoma Landlord and Tenant Act.
