Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Oklahoma

Employment Law

My boss at work is trying to tell us that the schedule of availability we gave her when we were hired is a legally binding contract. I know it's a load of malarky, but I would like to know what the law actually says, since I will be giving her a new set of available hours in order to return to school. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Employment Law

I am not sure what you are seeking or what the actual circumstances are regarding this employees work schedule so it is difficult to provide you with help answering your question effectively, i.e., Is this an exempt employee? Is this a non-exempt employee? Is this a contract employee? Is this a contractor? Is this person a manager? Is this a partnership? Under what terms and conditions was she hired? Is this a employment practice issue or a agency policy issue? It is a code of conduct issue? Either way, I have too many questions that need to be answered before I can respond correctly and/or appropriately apply references to employment law.
