Can a Probation Officer give out information to the public about their client?

A Probation Officer is a government officer who supervises the conduct of a probationer. A Probationer is a convicted criminal who is on probation and who is released, under state conditions, into the community instead of sending them to jail or prison.

Because these convictions are court-imposed criminal sentences, all information regarding this conviction remains a matter of public record and most privacy rights are waived, particularly, during or within probation/client relationships. I hope this helps.
