Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Oklahoma

Had a new roof put on last year (May or June of 2009), it is now leaking. We have water damage inside of home now, also mold. The roofer say they are responsible for the damage inside the house since it's been a year since the roof was put on. Didn't leak until June of this year when we had the heavy rains here in Oklahoma.

Question is: Is the roofing company responsible for the damage or do I have to put a claim in to my insurance?

You should file a claim and/or complaint with both; the roofing company and the insurance company cause the roof problems could be associated with the workmanship storm. This way, you will assure you are covered no matter who takes responsibility for the damaged. You also may want to consider contacting FEMA if you were displaced and/or experiences hardships because of this damage.
