Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Oklahoma

Stolen Dog-going to the theft's neighbor

I suspect I know who stole my dog and I know where they live. Is it legal for me to go to the theft's neighbors house and ask if they have seen my dog?

It would not be illegal; if you are just going to inquire about a dog, but it isn't recommended under such circumstances. It would be wise to have the police investigate or accompany you. Particularly, if you know for a fact that the dog may have be stolen or taken by these individuals. Additionally, you may have trespass issues on both sides and create hostile situations. Again, please have the police investigate by requesting a written police report. Then, if you do not witness the incident (stolen dog) during this investigation, you will have this report on file for on a later date or to substantiate your concerns.
