Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Oklahoma
Terminated agreement
I was recruited by an industry ''head hunter'' to build and manage a manufacturing facility. I haven't been able to sell my previous home (16 mo. on market). I was interviewd by an '' investment group'' and chosen for the job. The group told me it was crucial to start immediately and they were ready to go. They said they already had property available for the project. After being here for several months, I've been told by the head of the investment group that he was going to have to terminate our agreement. My performance was not an issue, but they've changed thier minds. The group had never actually formed and they couldn't agree on ownership shares. Now I am out of state with two mortgages and can't pay my bills much longer. My family is devistated and job prospects are few to none. Do I have any legal recourse since the structure of the investment group was overstated. I did everything asked of me. The people who hired me all have successful businesses, so I'm the only one hurt.

yes. you do options but I am limited in my response without more information abouth the situation as it relates to statement; "we have other property available. Is this property owned by the investment group? Or did you enter into a morgage separate from the owners of the investment group.
