Accident Injury Settlement Request

My son was hit by a drunk driver. His insurance company was very prompt in settlement of the vehicle, but they are very slow to come to terms with the personal injury. My son received injury to his neck and shoulder and was seen by our family doctor who prescibed rest and pain medication. The insurance company has offered $300 for pain and suffering, is this an appropriate amount. I feel it is very low.

Seems very low but the insurance companies base on injuries, bills and liability. Need more information. [email protected]
