Legal Question in Personal Injury in Oklahoma

Accident

I was invoved in an accident with a semi. The semi was in a left turn only, and was turning right. i was in a truck and was hit. i am now being pressured by the ins. to settle both the boldily injury and the Truck injury together. They are saying that they will not fix the truck until I sign for both they have offered about $1500, paying my medical to date and fixing the truck. The problem is I am still having pain in my back and my doctor has said to not settle real quick due to what happened to my back, but the ins. thinks that I could not have hurt my back that bad. My husband is driving the vehicle due to i am not able to because the Drivers side door does not open fromthe wreck. Should I just settle so that I can get my truck fixed this is our family vehicle and I am afraid that something might go wrong seriously if we dont get it fixed soon.

I would strongly urge you NOT to settle until you have been released by your doctor. Do not cave-in to the demands of the insurance people. This sounds like a case where an attorney might be able to assist you. I would suggest you contact someone in your area. -Bob-
