Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Oklahoma
My father had a car for sale. I had discussed buying it with him. He was unsure whether or not I was really serious. A neighbor made an offer to which my father agreed. My father called me and I said I did want the car. My father then called the neighbor and told him his deal was off. No money has ever changed hands. Is there a binding contract between my father and the neighbor he could be sued for?

No. A contract requires not only offer and acceptance, but also consideration. For example, if the buyer gave earnest money towards purchase.
