Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Oklahoma
Real Estate Deed
My home is currently in a Joint Tenancy Deed with right of survivorship. I have a Revocable Trust set up, and we would like the property title to be in the name of the trust. Should we use a Quit Claim Deed to transfer title to the name of the trust?

Re: Real Estate Deed
Yes, a quit claim deed is the most utilized deed form for transferring title to real property into a revocable living trust. The attorney who set up your trust should have prepared the deed for you. You should also have a Memorandum of Trust prepared and filed with the county clerk in which the real property is located.
