Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Oklahoma

Sir, I have some undeveloped land in Colorado that I want to stop paying property taxes on and let the land revert to the state. Are there risks to this other than losing the land?

Have you thought of selling the land?

Do you have outstanding taxes on it?

Someone may buy it from you and the buyer may also pay the taxes if you lower the value by an amount equivalent to the outstanding taxes.

I would recommend you try this route before you let it go back to the State. If, however, you wish to, then call the State of Colorado Tax commission and see how that could be ararnged. I am sure they woudl assist you with the process of deeding the land to the State.
