auto accident on private property - leaving the scene
my son was recently in an auto accident on private property. both parties left the scene, then the police were called. a week later my son was ticketed for leaving the scene and has to appear in court. how serious is this. the police and court clerk will not tell us the severity of this charge.
thanks,

Re: auto accident on private property - leaving the scene
The criminal penalty regardless of whether it is filed as a state or municipal violation, likely carries a fine and/or jail time. I am not saying your son is going to jail for the offense. He should consider hiring an attorney. He the charge is in a county in NE Oklahoma, you can contact me regarding possible representation by emailing me directly through the information provided in the footer.
