Legal Question in Traffic Law in Oklahoma
car tag
I am about to purchase a used vehicle from a person. Last time I did this I only paid a thousand dollars for the vehicle, but the tag agency made me pay the tax and tag for the blue book value, which was quite a bit more. I assume they will do the same this time. Is that the correct procedure, or am I receiving the shaft?

If you have a bill of sale, they should only charge you tax on the amount of the sale.
