Legal Question in Traffic Law in Oklahoma

Speeding

I was driving from Mounds, OK (Creek Co.) to Norman yesterday afternoon and was stopped for going 53 in a 40 (in the good ol' Mounds speed trap). I had just come over a bridge (hill) to head out of town and the officer(s) were driving into town. They slowly turned around and pursued me. I pulled over and the officer asked if I knew why I was stopped and I said no. He said, 53 in a 40. He then asked where I was headed and for my license and ins. Then he went back to write the ticket. When he finally came back, he asked for my phone number and place of employment. He wrote that information on the citation. After carefully studying the citation, I noticed that the zip code printed on the ticket for mailing the fine is incorrect (it says 74074 and Mounds is 74047) and the officer did not check the mode of detection (radar, pace, other), which means I could not get the calibration data from records. Is there a case here?

Re: Speeding

The officer must state the speed AND the ordinance/statute violated. Is that information on the ticket? If not, you can request that the judge dismiss the ticket. I am not sure if failing to indicate method of determing speed is grounds for dimissal.
