without a clue
we have a few question concerning a will that our parenst left for us kids. we would like to know is there a time limit to file a will after the funeral and how do we find out if it has been filed and where?

Thank you for your question. In Oklahoma by statute, any person in possession of a will is required to submit the same to the district court of the county where the decedant resided or to the person named as executor in the Will within 30 days after becoming aware that the person has died. The court may also compel such a person to produce the Will if the court is pursuaded that the person possesses the Will. A probate proceeding may be commenced in any county where the decedent owned property.
