Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oklahoma

The deceased's wife is the court-appointed (no will) Personal Representative. The marriage was 2 1/2 years old when he died. She had moved into his home of 15 years and sold her own. Can she pay herself back, out of the procedes from the sale of the real estate, for using her seperate funds from a 401K to make improvements to the property during the marriage (while he was alive)? She claims to have receipts for the improvements and wants to recoup approx. $26,000 before the procedes are divided among the heirs (which include only her & one adult child of his).
