Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oklahoma
When my father passed away he left in his will some oil rights to be split by myself and my two brothers and one sister. My sister has since passed away (May 2009) and to my knowledge she did not have a will, I checked with the oil company that issues our oil checks and they have still been issuing the checks to my sister and someone has been cashing them, I assume that it is probably being cashed by her husband. My question is what happens to my sisters oil rights legally when she died assuming that she did not have a will?
