illegetimate child rights

dear sir,hi,

my brother died in oklahoma in an accident.an insurance was granted.after his death we came to know about his relationship with a lady.a child was also born after his death.the child is illegetimate.does that lady or child have any right to claim on insurance money.our lawyer and that lady's lawyer want to conduct d.n.a test so that it can be proved that child really belongs to my brother.in any case if d.n.a test goes against us,still the child is illegetimate,as he was born out of wedlock.what would we do now.do we agree for d.n.a testing or go ahead with the case.we have only limited resources.we are also offered to negotiate on a small amount of money.please answer,we need your valuable answer.

Re: illegetimate child rights

It is advised that you go for a DNA Test, in any case the Insurance Department may dispute the same, it is better to seek advise from U S lawyers on the legitimate rights of the child to claim, please look for free advice there are lot of US web site who advice you freely about us laws.
