Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oklahoma
My Mothers power of Attorney
My mothers sister obtained power of attorney from my mother 5 years ago. my mother is mentally incapacitated not able to make decisions for herself. my dad, myself and my sister did not know about this until after. My aunt tells me nothing about my mothers treatment or care, I live far away and can only visit a few times a year. now I find out that my aunt has put my mother in a mental ward, shut off her phone in her nursing home room. And she won't return my calls and let me know whats going on. I want to know how to revoke her power of attorney over my mother so that I can take care of my mother, move her closer to me and make her decisions. I love my mother and want whats best for her. And trust me this is not about money on my part my mother has none. Its about control on my aunts part, the sad thing my mothers children are suffering because of it. How can I revoke my aunts power of attorney and take overy myself. I beleive this is the best answer for my mother and our immediate family.

*You* can't revoke your mother's power of attorney. You can file a petition with the court to have your aunt removed. Gonna cost you some money. Be prepared. Good Luck.
