Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Oklahoma

"personal representative"

My son died about 3 weeks ago at our local hospital. He was just 29 years old and did not have a will so the hospital will not release his medical records to me. How steps do I need to go through top become his personal representative?

Re: Personal Representative

I am very sorry for your loss. In order to become personal representative of your son's estate, it will be necessary to file a probate case with the District Court of the county where he lived at the time of his death. The Court willl appoint a personal representative. I strongly recommend that you obtain an attorney to help you with this process. Please feel free to contact me if you desire, at (918) 747-2082.
