will and trust question

My grandmother passed away and left me 100k. the will reads, ''all allocable assets shall be allocated to the bypass trusts, as follows (i) My name, one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) to paid within six months of the death of (grandmas name). I just got a check for 15,000 instead. What can i do ? My aunt says she'll pay me the rest later, ''but dont hold your breath''.

You have not provided enough information. You mention that the "will reads" and then you trust language, I don't know if this involves the administration of a Will in Probate or if it is a question of trust administration. Is your Aunt acting as the executor of a probate estate or successor trustee of a trust?

You can bring court action to get an accounting of the estate or trust, and to require the distribution of assets that belong to you. She cannot take such an attitude, I'll pay you later if you are lucky, she owes a fiduciary duty to you.
